Thank You Family Video for a wonderful Adoption Event!!

January 19th, 2012

We loved being at Family Video in Austintown last Saturday!  We adopted some kitties, sold some yummy kitty cookies and had some raffle tickets purchased for the Kat Kabin.  Smoochie got to meet and greet her fans and new people as well.  Thank you for everyone who stopped by to say hello and our special thanks to Family Video for hosting the event.

Covelli is around 6 years old. Come and meet her at the shelter.

McKenzie

January 14th, 2012

Age:  10-12 Years

Breed: Scottish Fold

Color:  Cream/beige

Gender:  Female

Senior Companion

McKenzie was living in some guys basement for the last six months after he found her as a stray.  Then he decided to see if we could take her.  What a sweet cat.  She is a very healthy seeming cat with that well-fed look.   We have since given her some baths and she is better looking than this photo.

She likes winding around your legs, getting petted, eating her wet food and taking nappies.  She will make a nice lap cat or couch potato buddy.

Come and meet this special girl at the shelter.

Caitlin – A Challenge

January 14th, 2012

Age:  Kitten

Breed:  Domestic Shorthair

Color:  Grey Tabby

Gender:  Female

Caitlin has been adopted.  Woo Hoo!

Caitlin has been with us for awhile and is really shy.  Mostly she gets out of your way and avoids being touched.  She does not growl or hiss.  She has just seemed scared.  Now, she is starting to  come closer and watches the other friendly kitties get petted and we think she is starting to come around.  She’s a really pretty cat and we would love to see her go home.  She is friendly with the other cats and has some she likes to hang out with.

Come and meet her at the shelter.  Let us know if you want to foster her for a week or two to get her a bit more socialized.

Medicine??!!! NO WAY!!! Richard and Stanford

January 14th, 2012

The other day, a volunteer went into the kitten room to dole out some meds that our Vet prescribed.  Apparently this is not a favorite thing with kittens!  Richard and his little black buddy Stanford were appalled that they had to go through this harrowing indignity.  Plus, it tastes really terrible.  These two kittens are usually the model of extreme cuteness.  Come and meet them in our kitten room. They are over their upper respiratory infections and are ready to go home.

Lumpy

January 6th, 2012

How could anybody call such a sweet little kitty “Lumpy”?  Well, it’s because he has a lump on his tummy.   Actually, it’s an umbilical hernia that will need to be operated on by our Vet.  Please help us with the cost of his operation if you can.

Comet

January 3rd, 2012

Age:  Kitten

Breed:  Domestic Shorthair

Color:  White with Brown Tabby

Gender:  Female

Comet has been adopted.  Woo Hoo!  Best wishes for Comet and her new family.

Comet will make a wonderful new friend.  She’s a very loving and playful girl.  She likes hanging out with the people that come to visit her.  Just super cute.
